Description des travaux
Notre équipe tente de déterminer comment les sphingolipides sont imliqués dans les mécanismes sous-jacents aux maladies pulmonaires chroniques dont l'asthme et la fibrose pulmonaire. Puisque de plus en plus de drogues modulant la voie de signalisation de la S1P sont disponibles, nous tentons de définir des cibles spécifiques dans cette voie signalétique afin d'interférer avec le développement de ces maladies.
Nous nous intéressons également à caractériser la réponse immune induite par des antigènes retrouvés dans l'environnement. De manière plus fondamentale nous essayons de comprendre comment les sphingolipides sont impliqués dans la formation et la résorption du tissus lymphoïde tertiaire, ce qui pourrait mener vers des applications en allergie et en cancer.
Nous avons une équipe de recherche dynamique et nous recherchons constamment des étudiants gradués ou post-gradués pour améliorer la qualité de notre équipe.
