Description des travaux
Alexandre Lebel est professeur associé à l'École supérieure en aménagement du territoire et développement régional de l'Université Laval (ÉSAD), ainsi que chercheur au sein de la Plateforme d'évaluation en prévention de l'obésité (PÉPO) du Centre de recherche de l'Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Québec (CRIUCPQ). Il a obtenu son PhD à l'ÉSAD en 2010 et effectué un postdoctorat en santé publique à l'Université de Harvard à Boston (Massachusetts, 2010-2012).
Ses intérêts de recherche se situent principalement dans la modélisation spatiale et multiniveau de phénomènes touchant la santé des populations et tout spécialement en ce qui concerne l'obésité au Canada. Il a également un intérêt marqué pour travailler directement avec des acteurs locaux dans le double but d'explorer des questions de recherches directement avec les personnes concernées et d'effectuer un échange de connaissance avec celles-ci. Il fait d'ailleurs partie d'une équipe de concepteurs qui développe actuellement un outil de cartographie conceptuelle.
