Description des travaux
Dans le contexte des nombreux incidents pharmaceutiques des dernières années, plusieurs événements indésirables associés à la consommation de médicaments chez les canadiens vivant avec des maladies chroniques, auraient possiblement pu être évités. Les travaux du Dre Leclerc, appliqués en pharmacovigilance, ont pour objectif d'étudier la prise en charge clinique de patients vivant avec des maladies chroniques, dont le maladies cardiovasculaires, et de comprendre l'impact de certaines politiques pharmaceutiques canadiennes sur la survenue d'événements indésirables dans cette population. Cette programmation de recherche permettra d'émettre des pistes d'amélioration en matière de pharmacovigilance canadienne.
